I’ve always been someone who’s curious about how things work and how to make them better.
I grew up in a close-knit family of seven in a single-income household...
Practicality was part of everyday living, and Dad taught us early on, the importance of working hard and smart.
As a family, we were competitive, supportive, and always pushing each other,
a lot of which naturally carried into how I approach life and how I tackle my work today.
Lending wasn’t something I intentionally set out to do, but after stumbling into the industry and finding my feet, I felt I wouldn’t want to do anything else.
I found myself drawn to the thinking behind it... understanding individual situations and figuring out what would actually work in practice.
The variety and constant problem-solving are what have kept me here a decade later.
Over the years, I’ve worked across different parts of the lending world.
Starting at uno Home Loans, moving into Resimac (working across a wide range of lending scenarios), and later at ANZ Mobile Lending where, I am so proud to be able to say, I was the number 1 lender in the country.
Seeing lending from those different experiences gave me a broader understanding of how decisions are really made behind the scenes, which now shapes how I approach all of the scenarios I come across.
Outside of work, I’m usually doing something a bit competitive or outdoorsy.
Basketball has always been my go-to, with tennis and pickleball thrown in when I can.
Lately, injuries have steered me toward chess, which as it turns out, shares a lot with lending… patience, timing, and thinking ahead with the end in mind.
I also love a good off-grid escape; getting out camping and off-roading.
I like keeping things straightforward, with honest conversations and helping people understand their options clearly.
My goal is always to be the person that my clients feel comfortable reaching out to, whether they’re ready to apply now, or just thinking about what’s next.
My job is to set them up for their future goals early, with the end in mind,
so they are ready for each goal post when the time comes.
